New Business:
· Approved additional 125,000 for the park to complete on-going projects this year.
Budget 2027 overview. Levy total is 2,647,698 final approval October 5, 2026, The levy is by far lower than budget.
· Special Sanitary Sewer and Water Service Agreement with AI Properties Fortville LLC located at 7795 N. 200 West. Due to roundabout change from dollar amount to NTE 49% - keeps it legal and takes in consideration of changes to roundabout by INDOT and engineer.
· Closeout of the EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant presented by Terry Lee of BCA Consultants. Waiting for the “no further action letter” from IDM, which basically says environmental on this site (Dominoes) is done and can be closed out.
· 1st Reading of Ordinance 2026-9A - to rezone of 426 Walnut Street from Residential: 3.5 (R3.5) to Commercial: Community (CC) for Elevate Accounting. A Public Hearing is scheduled for the Fortville Plan Commission Meeting on Tuesday, September 29, at 6:30 PM. Site is located on Walnut Street, town requested the house be not demoloshied. Want to convert from house to office use. Approved 1st reading
· Town Report: Consider to install new storm pipe at McCardi Street and Church Street – the pipe has collasped and working on amount to fix. Add 3-way stop sign to Wilson Farm Drive and Washington Street due to accidents.
· Community Relations: Trick or Treat on Saturday, October 31st from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the evening.
· Legal – review draft resolution that addresses the memorial donations for park benches, planters, etc. as to the processes if the memorial is damaged or vandizlized.
· Public comment: Inquiry as to where the proposed budget can be found, attachments being discussed can be displayed on screen. Further asked about future plans for green spaces or trees on Broadway to make the entrance to the city more asthetic. Discused the potential for future building requirements to add greenspace for trees.
