As a political organization, we strongly support and defend the First Amendment right to free speech and peaceful assembly. These freedoms are foundational to our democracy and vital to civic engagement. However, we recognize that activism and protest activities are distinct from the official business of the Hancock County Democratic Party.
The Hancock County Democratic Party does not organize, endorse, or assume liability for any protesting activities. Our role as a local Democratic organization is focused on electoral efforts—supporting candidates, voter outreach, and government oversite. While we may share information about rallies or public events as a courtesy, we do not sponsor or take responsibility for them.
Anyone attending such events does so as an individual, not as a representative of our county party.
