My name is Linda Robinson, and I am seeking the office of Town Council At-Large in McCordsville, Indiana. I have been married to my husband, Dr. Claude Robinson Sr., for 47 years, and together we have been blessed with three children, thirteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Family has always been at the center of my life and values.
I am a native Hoosier and have proudly called McCordsville home for the past 25 years. During that time, my husband and I have been actively involved in our community. More than 25 years ago—before there was even a McCordsville Town Council—we both worked with the McCordsville/Fortville Chamber, helping support local community efforts and growth.
My professional background includes a variety of leadership and service roles. I studied at Crossroads Bible College (now the College of Biblical Studies). During my career I worked as a Financial Aid Assistant at Crossroads Bible College, later served as an IT Manager at Conseco, and eventually worked for American Funds, where I remained until my retirement in 2018.
Community service has always been important to me. For the past 25 years, I have served as the Hospitality Director for the Indiana State Wrestling Association, and I currently also serve as its Scholarship Chair, helping recognize and support young athletes as they pursue their education.
Faith and character guide my life. I am a Christian with a strong moral compass who believes deeply in truth, respect, forgiveness, and treating others the way I would want to be treated. I believe in listening to others—even when we may disagree—because respectful dialogue is essential to building strong communities.
For more than 35 years, I attended Greater Northwest Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Claude B. Robinson until his passing in 2020.
Ensuring our schools have the resources needed to keep up with the growing population.
Supporting public safety, including our police and fire departments, and encouraging ways our community can partner with them to keep McCordsville safe.
McCordsville is a special place, and I believe that by working together—with honesty, communication, and mutual respect—we can continue to build a community where families, seniors, and children can thrive.
I am running for Town Council At-Large because I believe in the future of McCordsville and want to serve the people of our community. My priorities include:
Improving transparency and communication between town leadership and residents.
Supporting programs and initiatives for youth and seniors, especially as our community continues to grow rapidly.
Hosting quarterly community forums so residents can share concerns and ideas directly with town leadership.
Addressing important infrastructure needs such as roads, snow removal, responsible community development, and attracting new restaurants and businesses.
