I am a local farmer, cattle producer, and small business owner who lives and works in the community I’m seeking to serve. My daily life is rooted in the land, agriculture, and the realities facing rural townships today.
Through farming and running a small business, I understand the importance of hard work, responsible budgeting, and making practical decisions with limited resources. I value stewardship of farmland, support responsible land use, and protecting the rural character and culture that defines the area.
I am running for the Vernon Township Trustee Board for simple, practical reasons. As someone who has not lived here my entire life and has not been part of the inner workings of local government, I bring a fresh perspective. From that perspective, I can see opportunities for growth and connection that are currently missing on the Township Board.
While there has been progress in promoting the services the township provides, there is always room to go further. I believe that serving the public means being present with the public, not only from the Trustee, but from the Township Board as a whole. Transparency, visibility, and engagement matter.
I want our township residents to better understand the important work that happens behind the scenes, especially the support provided during people’s most vulnerable moments. This work deserves both recognition and continual improvement.
I am a community member who respects the foundation that has already been built, and I want to help strengthen it by bringing new ideas, new energy, and new voices to the table. I believe our township can be even better, and I want to be part of that progress. Above all, I want to serve my neighbors to the very best of my ability.
