A Proven Professional with a Heart for Sugar Creek Township

For 13 years, Hancock County has been my home, with the last seven spent right here in Sugar Creek Township. My commitment to this community isn't just political—it’s personal. Whether I am walking the trails at Sugar Creek Park or cheering at local events, I am invested in the future of the place my family calls home.

Why I am Running

My vision for the Township Board is shaped by two defining perspectives:

A Personal Debt of Gratitude: In 2024, I experienced a medical emergency that required the services of the Sugar Creek Fire and Rescue. That day, I saw our firefighters and EMTs in action firsthand. Their professionalism and care inspired me to give back to our "county heroes" by ensuring they have the institutional support they need from the Township Board.

Professional Expertise: With 15 years of experience in programs and finance at Indiana University, I understand how to manage complex budgets. I know how to stretch a dollar without sacrificing quality, and I am ready to apply that fiscal discipline to our township’s bottom line.

Rooted in Our Community

My husband, Derek, is a teacher at Mt. Vernon, and we are proud parents of two teenagers at New Palestine High School. We are a family deeply rooted in our local schools and our community's future.

I am ready to use my professional experience and personal passion to serve you on the Sugar Creek Township Board.

My Four Core Priorities for Sugar Creek:

Championing Fire and Rescue: I will be a tireless advocate for the tools, staffing, and equipment our first responders need to keep us safe. They were there for me; I will be there for them.

Stewardship of Our Parks and Heritage: As a neighbor and regular patron of Sugar Creek Park, I am concerned about its upkeep. I will prioritize the maintenance of our green spaces and the dignified care of our township gravesites.

Fiscal Integrity: Using my finance background, I will ensure the Sugar Creek Township Office maintains a balanced budget, focusing on transparency and long-term financial health.

A Balanced, Local Voice: As the Precinct Chair for Sugar Creek West-1 since 2024, I understand the importance of listening. I will provide a balanced, common-sense voice on the board that represents all residents.
