Hi! I’m Bill McDonald. I was raised in Bloomington Indiana and moved to Buck Creek township 16 years ago. For the last 14 years I have run a small business out of my home. I retired two years ago.
I was inspired to run by the many public servants I have met that run our state, republican and democrat alike. I have found them to be uniformly honest and hardworking folks, and I hope to join their ranks.
My wife and I are animal lovers, currently being trained by two pugs. You can find me on the tennis court from time to time, but I have been eyeing the pickleball courts of late. I’m a big fan of our rail trail system and spend a good bit of time on it.
Why I’m running:
Beyond a desire to serve, I believe in competition. Democracy is designed to create competition. It does no one any good when all you can find on your ballot are candidates from on party. Public servants do better when they have competition.
