I am a proud Indianapolis native and graduate of Warren Central High School who has dedicated my career to building stronger, more equitable communities. I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology from IUPUI and a master's degree in public administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University.
With a proven track record in public affairs, community development, and organizational leadership, I have led initiatives across both the nonprofit and private sectors—overseeing multi-million-dollar budgets, building high-impact partnerships, mobilizing volunteers, and generating more than $1 million annually in sustainable funding. Throughout my career, I have navigated and challenged systemic barriers to advancement, particularly as a woman of color in leadership—experiences that shaped her commitment to fairness, accountability, and inclusive decision-making.
In 2018, I founded A Seat At The Table, a transformative organization created to ensure women of color have access to healing, leadership development, and opportunity. Refusing to wait for permission to lead, I built a new table—one rooted in equity, dignity, and shared power. Today, the organization is a trusted community partner, delivering impactful programming in Indiana and serving thousands of women and families.
Above all, I am a devoted wife and mother who understands that strong families build strong communities. I believe in safe neighborhoods, fair opportunities, and an economy that works for everyone—and am committed to bringing practical, people-centered leadership to county government.
My leadership and impact have earned recognition as a nominee for Junior Achievement's Indy's Best and Brightest and the Center for Leadership Development's Up and Coming Achiever Award. I have also served on multiple boards and advisory committees, including the March of Dimes, Indiana Children's Bureau, and Black Fathers Rock, and is a proud alumna of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women program.
