Jordan Coleman is a proud Indianapolis native, community leader, and advocate who believes government should work for the people it serves. A graduate of Warren Central High School, Jordan earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology from IUPUI and a master's degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Jordan's leadership journey was not built in political offices—it was built in the community. After experiencing firsthand the barriers many women and families face in accessing opportunity, she decided she wouldn't wait for a seat at someone else's table. In 2018, she founded A Seat At The Table, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women heal from trauma, grow in leadership, and build stronger futures for themselves and their families.

Under Jordan's leadership, the organization has grown into a powerful force for community impact—serving thousands of women and girls through leadership development, mental health programming, and advocacy. She has also led efforts to address period poverty, organizing community "Period Parties," distributing hundreds of menstrual hygiene kits to young girls, and advocating for policy change to ensure feminine hygiene products are accessible and affordable.

Jordan has built a career centered on action and results. She has managed multi-million-dollar budgets, developed strategic partnerships across public and private sectors, and helped raise more than $1 million annually to support community programs. Her work has focused on strengthening neighborhoods, expanding opportunities, and ensuring resources reach the people who need them most.

Jordan believes strong communities require safe neighborhoods, reliable infrastructure, and a thriving local economy. She supports investing in public safety resources that keep families secure, improving infrastructure to support the county's rapid growth, and promoting smart economic development that creates good-paying jobs while protecting the character of our communities.

She understands that growth must be managed responsibly ensuring roads, services, and public safety keep pace with development so families and businesses can thrive.

Jordan's leadership and impact have earned her nominations for Junior Achievement's Indy's Best and Brightest and the Center for Leadership Development's Up and Coming Achiever Award. She has served on several boards and advisory groups including March of Dimes, Indiana Children's Bureau, and Black Fathers Rock, and is a proud alumna of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women program.

But Jordan's most important role is at home. As a wife and mother, she understands the real challenges families face—from rising costs to concerns about safety and opportunity. Those experiences fuel her commitment to public service.

Jordan is running for County Commissioner because she believes leadership should be bold, compassionate, and accountable. She is ready to bring fresh perspective, practical solutions, and a deep commitment to the community to ensure our county remains a place where families feel safe, businesses grow, and every resident has a fair opportunity to succeed.
