BACKGROUND:

Continued audio issues.

SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT AGENDA ITEMS AND KEY POINTS:

1.    Future Town Center Master Plan presentation by Envoy (construction) who will develop master plan for 77 acres mixed use development

2.    Discussion on staggering terms for council members.  This is being worked out with the election office

3.    Department Reports

a.    Town manager:  Kid City (private pre-k, K and after school care) coming to New Pal

b.    Street commissioner discussed various street projects

c.    Police Chief. Discussion and passage of approval for an additional officer.

d.    Treasurer.  Discussed pending grants.

4.    Council Comments: Bill Neimer referenced pending State Legislation, HB [bill number inaudible], which proposes to remove local zoning authority from communities to promote affordable housing initiatives.  Concerns over loss of local control.  Recommends contacting State Rep. to oppose
