Hello!
Some days, it is tough being a Democrat in Hancock County. This past election proves that but here’s the thing:
We are UNITED in the search for integrity in elected candidates.
We are UNITED in our fight for inclusion, diversity and women’s healthcare.
We are completely UNITED. And we WILL NOT STOP.
2024 showed an unprecedented growth in our county party. We are not stopping here. This is just a part of our journey as we navigate our success and chart a path forward for the future.
I invite you to be part of our continued growth and momentum. There are so many ways to be involved and I encourage you to browse this website & follow us on social media to find out how.
It is a marathon, not a sprint. Remember that, fuel up and join as we work for a better tomorrow. We need you.
In Democratic Solidarity,
Linda Genrich
Chair, HC Dems
Honoring Our Main Event Sponsor:
Communications Workers of America
---------------------
We proudly recognize the Communications Workers of America (CWA) as our main event sponsor. As a driving force for workers’ rights CWA continues to be a pillar of organized labor.
Union workers like CWA members are the heart of the Democratic movement—fighting for fair wages, safer workplaces, and a stronger voice for working families. We thank CWA for their support and their tireless commitment to progress and justice.
CWA was founded in 1938 at meetings in Chicago and New Orleans. First known as the National Federation of Telephone Workers, the union became the Communications Workers of America in 1947.
CWA got its start in the telephone industry, but today it represents workers in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada in the communications and information industries, as well as the news media, the airline industry, broadcast and cable television, public service, higher education, health care, manufacturing, high tech fields, and more.
