BACKGROUND:

This committee is responsible for the economic development projects and TIF funding of those projects for the City of Greenfield.

     First meeting of 2026.

Ron Pritzke: Appointed by the Mayor 1 year term – 1/1/2026 until 12/31/2026 - President

Greg Carwein: Appointed by the Mayor 1 year term – 1/1/2026 until 12/31/2026 - Vice-President

George Plisinski: Appointed by the Mayor 1 year term –1/1/2026 until 12/31/2026

●     Oaths of office to members administered by Mr. Morelock

●     Election of Officers: Motion made to reelect the 2025 officers for 2026, made and seconded. Motion approved

●     Confirmation of financial consultants- Motion made to confirm firm of O.W. Krohn CPA , properly made and duly seconded. Motion approved

●     Confirmation of legal counsel-  Motion made to confirm firm of Brand and Morelock, properly made and duly seconded. Motion approved

●     Invoice from Barnes and Thornburg legal services for Lilly TIF District- motion properly made and duly seconded. Motion approved

●     Purchase of Labcorp Property phase 1 and due diligence deadline extension of 120 days of 05 May 2026- motion properly made and duly seconded. Motion approved

●     Public hearing on Lilly and HRH TIF districts to be held on 26 January 2026 at 4:00 pm

●     Quarterly Meeting to be determined for April 26 at the 26 January 2026 meeting

 ADDITIONAL INSIGHTS, NOTES, FOLLOW-UP QUESTIONS:

Key things to watch- The public hearings will be for the new TIF districts for the purchase of the land in front of Labcorp on US 40 and the construction of the new Police Station. There will have to be infrastructure improvements for this land purchase to proceed in the future to relocate the public water main that exists running north to south through the property.
