BACKGROUND:

SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT AGENDA ITEMS AND KEY POINTS:

Old Business:

·        South Madison road extension

o   SC Bodner is working on total cost; some areas not in Fortville and have volunteered to work with county to acquire properties.

New Business:

·        2026-8A-Resident Rental Registration changes

·        Cure period 30 days; $250.00 fine if violations are not corrected; “cleaned up” definitions and how used.

·        First reading Approved-still time to make changes before 2nd reading.

·        Assistant Planning position: First Reading Approved

·        2026-8B-Declaring some radios of the Fortville police department surplus, First Reading Approved

·        Hancock County surveyor presented “Multi-Hazzard Mitigation” plan to include all Hancock county. A plan on how to coordinate during a disaster. To receive federal funds, townships must have a signed plan on file.
