Nothing new from the Hiway Dept. 

Commissioners issued proclamation declaring June 20-26th Vietnam Veterans in Memory Week

Commemorating the 600 men and women who served in the Vietnam Era from Hancock Co. 

Coroner’s office is asking that a current part time position be moved to full time–and the part time position would not be filled.  Positive recommendation to Co. Council

Granted permission to Greenfield Main Street to use courthouse lawn for booth space at every Thursday event from May-Sept.

Commission allocated money to 911 dept. to finish cameras, alarms and door access at Community Corrections, to finish up renovations. $28K coming out of 2021 G. O. Bond.

Favorable recommendation to Co. Council to move one part time position in Behavioral Health to Full time. 

EMS requested $47K to replace a tornado siren in the New Pal area. The current siren is not operational, and is from the 1950’s.

Most important info to come out of meeting was presentation of the Substantial Completion certificate for Amplify Hancock Co.  Turnover scheduled for June 19. 

Solid Waste

 Board agreed to hire outside attorney to assist with situation with Drainage Board Director Dede Allender.  Questions concerning her status–contractor, county employee, etc. 

Dede will apply for an IDEM grant for recycling. 

She also informed Board she had submitted an editorial to the Daily Reporter supporting recycling in the city of Greenfield.
