SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT AGENDA ITEMS AND KEY POINTS:

Old business:

• 2nd reading of 2026-6A. Amended to “No parking on Main Street and 600N.

New business:

• Voluntary annex 5 acres and Elmhurst (off Alden). Two custom built homes will be built.

• Considered a police commission appointment. There are 5 candidates with one recommendation to the Town Council.

  • After review of candidates resumes, no decision was made due to several questions from the board.

    • New procedures will be implemented to interview candidates.

• Next meeting the Town Council will interview candidates.

• Remove the 2 dead bushes in front of the Fortville sign at the CVS

  • Discussed updating the town signs

• Discussion of status of the new McDonalds.

  • Will only take about 90 days to build – hope to be completed by October 15, 2026

  • Waiting on INDOT to approve right-away. Per INDOT McDonalds will need to widen road.

  • Remove the 2 dead bushes
